Howard F. Adams
Howard F. Adams was born in Sheffield, England and came to Canada in 1965 and grew up in Toronto Ontario. He was very active in sports and received a scholarship to attend the University of Prince Edward Island. During his years at university, he joined the RCMP as an Auxiliary member. Following university, he applied and was accepted to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in 1981.
He attended training in Regina Saskatchewan and following training was transferred to Montreal, Quebec, (Immigration Investigator), Bonnyville, Alberta (small town uniform), Edmonton and Calgary (Drug Enforcement Investigator), Ottawa and Milton, Ontario, (Immigration, Customs and Media Relations).
He was seconded to Vancouver in 2009 to work on the 2010 Olympics as part of the Integrated Security Unit (Protester Liaison) and the G20 in Toronto in 2011.
After 31 years in the Force, he retired in 2011. Since his retirement he has continued to work in the security field for Canada Post, Symcor, Squad Security and the Public Health Agency of Canada. He has provided Executive Protection at several conferences and also for CTV and other media agencies.
He is married to Mona Duggan and has a son, Marcus Djan-Adams.
